With summer fun comes summer heat. Use these golf tips to stay cool on the course all summer long:
Play early: Many courses open earlier in summer. Book a tee time before 11 to avoid the hottest part of the day.
Stay hydrated: Drink ample amounts of water to stay cool. The summer sun can quickly dehydrate you before you even realize it.
Gear up: Wear visors, breathable fabrics and light colors to stay cool.
Wear sunscreen: Use at least SPF 30. Even if there is cloud cover the sun’s rays are still working.
Avoid sugary drinks: Drinks loaded with sugar will cause you to feel more dehydrated.
Have a towel: Bring a towel to keep sweat at bay. Many companies now carry cooling towels to help you escape the heat.
